Events
The QUT Health Clinics provides a wide range of unique health initiatives and community events throughout the year. A number of our activities (including the Free Foot Checks at Caboolture campus, Healthy Lunchbox Workshops and Back to School screenings) have become annual events which aim to deliver quality patient care to the community as well as providing an enriching learning experience to our students undertaking clinical placement as part of their health degree.
As with most other services operating within the QUT Health Clinics, our events are largely student driven - with a strong volunteer culture and an indispensable army of enthusiastic future health professionals from a wide range of disciplines including optometry, podiatry, exercise, nutrition and dietetics, psychology and counselling. In 2012, we had over 120 volunteers assist in our hands on in-school, on campus and community activities which were provided to over 4000 kids!
